On this day in 1919, King George V proclaims the first Armistice Day. This day later became Remembrance Day

On this day in 1933, the United States of America formally recognized the Soviet Union.

And, in Chuckery, Ohio in 1893, it was reported that Emanuel Bishop is sick. And, Some of Rumel Bigelow's sheep were killed by a dog.
