On this day in 1818, the US and Canada formerly set their border with the ratification of the Rush-Bagot Treaty.

On this day in 2007, a gunman at Virginia Tech University went on a shooting rampage. 32 were killed, and 23 were injured before the gunman committed suicide.

And, in Chuckery, Ohio in 1891, C. H. Converse from Unionville was in Chuckery to visit the Mitchell family.
