On this day in 1790, President George Washington delivered the first State of the Union Address in New York, New York.

On this day in 1982, A T & T was forced to split itself into twenty-seperate companies, breaking up the Bell System.

And, in Chuckery, Ohio in 1890, it was reported that J. F. Fairbanks was on the sick list.
