On this day in 1818, Illinois became the 21st US state.

On this day in 1910, neon lighting is first used at the Paris Motor Show.

On this day in 1960, Camelot - a musical is released on Broadway. This soon became associated with the JFK presidency.

And, in Chuckery, Ohio in 1890, it was reported that Mr. Orville Keyes and Miss Etta Sprague were married in Milford Center on Thursday.
