On this day in 1865, President Abraham Lincoln signed the Thirteenth Amendment, abolishing slavery in the United States.

On this day in 2003, NASA Space Shuttle Columbia broke apart on reentry killing seven astronauts.

On this day in 1979, I welcomed my first sibling, a sister, Martha Frances Powers!

And, in Chuckery, Ohio in 1894, it was reported that Charles Donahue, a twelve year old boy, has been missing since Saturday.
