On this day in 1815, Napoleon Bonoparte escaped from his exile in Elba.

On this day in 1919, President Wilson sign an act that created a national park at the Grand Canyon.

On this day in 1929, President Coolidge signed an act establishing a national park at the Grand Tetons.

And, in Chuckery, Ohio in 1897, many Chuckery residents travelled to a sale at Sid Stoddard's near Unionville.
