Today in History - February 28

On this day in 1784, John Wesley charted the Methodist Church.

On this day in 1827, the Baltimore & Ohio, B & O, Railroad was incorporated. It was the first railroad in America to that offered transportation to both freight and people.

On this day in 1885, A, T, & T (American Telephone and Telegraph) was incorporated as a subsidiary of American Bell Telephone.

On this day in 1935, a chemist at DuPont, Wallace Carothers, invented nylon.

And, in Chuckery, Ohio in 1905, it was reported that the McCloud family was returning to Chuckery.
