On this day in 1885, the Washington Monument was dedicated.

On this day in 1948, the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing or, NASCAR was incorporated.

And, in Chuckery, Ohio in 1891, it was reported that Mr. and Mrs. Holycross of Marysville recently visited Chuckery.
