On this day in 1855, Michigan State University was founded.

On this day in 1914, the first brick for the LIncoln Memorial was laid.

On this day in 1999, President Bill Clinton was acquitted in his impeachment trial.

And, in Chuckery, Ohio in 1890, it was reported that Brown Watson moved his sawmill to the Newman Farm.
