On this day in 1455, the Gutenberg Bible was published.

On this day in 1778, Baron von Steuben went to Valley Forge to help General Washington train the Colonial forces.

On this day in 1836, the Battle of the Alamo began.

And, in Chuckery, Ohio in 1898, many residents of Chuckery went to Irwin for the fair at the newly built Irwin Methodist Episcopal Church.
