On this day in 1863, President Abraham Lincoln gave the Gettysburg Address at the dedication of the military cemetery in the village.

On this day in 1959, the Ford Motor Company discontinued production of the Edsel.

And, in Chuckery, Ohio in 1893, it was reported that Fred Loschky and family from Unionville visited his brother Matthias Loschky and family of this locality.
